Mission Statement
For I was hungry, and you gave Me something
to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink, I was a
stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed
Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and
you came to Me…
Truly, I say to you, to the extent that you
did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of
them, you did it to Me.
Matthew 25:35-40 |

Procedures
Applicants must work within the Foundation’s procedures
and guidelines.
Pre-Application Letter. The first step in applying for a
grant is a brief letter of inquiry, not to exceed two
pages in length. (This step is not optional – please do
not send a full proposal.) Describe your organization and
the project for which funds are requested, and indicate
how your project fits into the Foundation’s areas of focus
as stated in the Foundation’s guidelines. This letter may
be submitted at any time throughout the year. The
Foundation requests that grant seekers refrain from
sending supporting materials with this initial letter. If
your request coincides with the Foundation’s interests,
you will be asked to submit a full proposal.
Full Proposals. If you are invited to submit a full
proposal, the Foundation will supply you with the
appropriate application form. You will also be asked to
supply the following additional information:
-
a copy of the organization’s letter from the IRS
indicating section 501(c)(3) status and its 509(a)
status as a public charity, as recognized by the Federal
Government,
-
and a recent financial statement.
All of the above are required before grant consideration
is made.
Please do not submit proposals in notebooks, binders,
plastic folders, or audio/video tapes.
General Information
-
Normally grants will be made for one year only.
-
Except in instances of our own initiation, the
Foundation accepts only one request per year from any
organization. Therefore, large organizations should send
proposals through the organization’s central office.
-
The usual grant for the Foundation is between $1,000 to
$3,000.
